About credit.com.my

Malaysia's independent credit education guide.

What we do

credit.com.my is Malaysia's independent credit education guide. We publish free tools and plain-language guides to help Malaysians understand, fix, and build their credit. No jargon, no sales pitch — just clear information you can act on.

Why we exist

Malaysia has RM1.63 trillion in household debt — 84.1% of GDP. Home loan rejection rates hover around 60%. Over 253,000 Malaysians are enrolled in AKPK's debt management programme. Yet there is no free, independent, education-first credit resource in the country.

CTOS sells credit reports. RinggitPlus sells financial products. AKPK serves people who are already in crisis. There is a gap between awareness and crisis — between knowing your score exists and understanding what drives it, how to fix it, and what it means for your next loan application.

credit.com.my fills that gap.

Our editorial approach

Every credit topic has more than one angle. A balance transfer might be a smart move for one person and a trap for another. An AKPK enrolment might be a lifeline or an overreaction. Context matters.

That is why our analysis features three contributing analysts — Adam Tan, Daniel Lim, and Sarah Abdullah — who provide distinct perspectives on credit topics. Each analyst brings a different lens: growth, risk, and action.

AI disclosure: Our analytical perspectives are an AI-assisted editorial format — distinct lenses on Malaysian credit topics (Growth, Steady, Action), reviewed for accuracy before publication. These are not real individuals.
